While Viasat has a diversified approach for data security, one important tool employees have utilized is requesting access based on an identified need for data. My approach was to design an experience that’s easy for the individual requesting access (requesters) to provide the most important information to those approving their request (approvers). Equally important is providing an easy experience for approvers to quickly understand the context and reasoning behind a request so they can make an informed choice about whether or not granting access is in Viasat’s best interest.
By successfully meeting these needs, we improve internal efficiencies, data security, and the employee experience so they can do the best work possible to ensure Viasat successfully meets its customers’ needs.
